2012 IHRA Team Finals coming to Richmond Dragway September 28-30th

In a move to “regionalize” the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Team Finals Programs to geographic areas, Richmond Dragway has been awarded the 2012 IHRA Division 1 Patriots Team Finals scheduled for Friday, September 28 through Sunday, September 30^th hosting teams from Maryland International Raceway, MotorMile Dragway, Natural Bridge Dragstrip, Northeast Dragway, Richmond Dragway, Roxboro Motorsports and Sumerduck Dragway.

“We are thrilled to host the 2012 IHRA Summit Team Finals featuring competitors from around the Mid Atlantic to declare who’s the “best of the best” as a team. I know that each track participating will be bringing their toughest competitors to battle it out on the RD 1/8 mile and I can’t wait to see how the “chips fall”, commented Johnny Davis, Track Owner.

This event will also crown the Division 1 Representatives for the IHRA Summit World Championship Runoff at Memphis in October as well as the “Team Competition” on Sunday. Track operators and IHRA Officials are ironing out the details of an event schedule and the final version of the team composition and rules and will have that information available soon.
