The RVA List
We are proud to begin a program in the style of the popular Discovery Channel Street Outlaws where we will crown the 10 fastest Street cars in the RVA. This list will be populated on Facebook via our page called The RVA List at https://www.facebook.com/groups/191801041178605/?pnref=story
Complete rules and regulations are below:
Tentative 2017 rules:”THE LIST” rules for RVA Fastest Street Car/Truck Challenge1. Tagged and Insured cars and trucks only. All vehicles must have full and operational exhaust with muffler in place. Turbo cars are NOT required to have a muffler although the exhaust system of the turbo vehicle will have to extend past the rear of the front doors and exit under the car unless the car was otherwise equipped differently from the factory. 2. 4 and 6 cylinder no minimum weight3. Small Blocks 2800lbs4. Big Blocks 3000lbs5. Cars will be scaled immediately after a run6. Drive Tires: Any size drag radial or DOT tire allowed.7. Full round tube chassis prohibited. Aftermarket bolt on tubular front clips permitted. OEM type front suspension for model of car mandatory.8. Stock firewall is stock location mandatory. Back half cars are permitted but must add 500 pounds to their minimum weight and follow all rules associated with the class. 9. Stock appearing dash and finished interior mandatory.10. Transmission: Any OEM type automatic or stick shift transmission permitted. Aftermarket “clutchless” or “planetary” transmission prohibited11. Any single power adder permitted. Methanol & water injection of a turbo is considered a power adder. 12. ALL cars must be driven to the staging lanes and from the end of the run to the scales and into the pits. Towing is grounds for disqualification.13. Instant green tree, 1/8th mile finish line, no time on scoreboards, 1320go.com is off and no time slips. If you leave before the green it is a loss.14. Minimum wager $50, maximum wager $300. If the two parties cannot agree on a wager amount the race director will set the amount based on the amounts being negotiated. Refusal to race will result in removal from the list. All monies to be handled by the race director.15. You can only callout the position above you. If you are not on the list you can only callout the 10th position. 16. Road trip challenge: If you feel that your competitor is not a true “street” car you may challenge them to a road trip. The road trip challenge must go through the race director (see #22 for more info). Both vehicles will then be required to make the road trip. The road trip will be about 14 miles long and you will have a time limit set on how long you will have to complete the road trip. Once you complete the road trip you will be required to make your run without refueling and without cool down time. If you refuse to take the road trip you will be removed from the list, everyone below that position will move up one spot. 17. In order to callout the 10th spot you must make the callout either in the presence of the race director or on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/191801041178605/. 18. Most races will be held as scheduled on Friday nights.19. Callouts can be made until the Monday before a scheduled event. Call outs must be made in the presence of the race director or on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/191801041178605/. Once the callout is made the race will be set for the next “List” Friday night. Call outs will be accepted in the order they are received. If you do not make the race FOR ANY REASON it will be considered a loss. If the race date rains out it will be run at the next “List” Friday night. We will announce the list of races on Tuesday before the scheduled Friday night. Once we announce the list it will be final. At the determination of the race director if there are multiple callouts you may be required to race multiple times in a single night.20. If you break during a run including the burnout it will be considered a loss.21. ALL cars and drivers must pass IHRA Safety TECH.22. There is a $100.00 protest fee to force a competitor to complete the road trip. If the protested driver successfully completes the road trip, he/she keeps the money. If the driver fails to complete the road trip, the protest fee returns to the driver who initiated the protest. 23. The 2016 RVA List stands as the initial list for 2017- List callouts begin with the first RVA List Event of the season.
